Booking & trip changes
8 common questions
How do I book a car with Colorado Cruisers?
Book directly at cocruisers.com to choose your dates, vehicle, pickup arrangement, and extras. You can also browse our Turo profile and book there.
After booking, keep your confirmation and trip messages handy. They contain the details for your vehicle and reservation.
Is there a direct-booking discount?
Our current direct-booking offer advertises 20% off with code HOOKITUP20. Enter the code during direct checkout and confirm eligibility and your final total before paying.
The offer applies through our direct-booking flow; check any Turo offer separately in Turo.
How old do I need to be, and what documents do I need?
Direct rentals: drivers must be at least 21. Have a valid driver’s license, payment method, and insurance proof if using personal coverage.
Turo: follow its eligibility and verification requirements for the selected vehicle. Complete the requested check-in steps before pickup.
What about insurance or protection?
For direct rentals, review checkout coverage options and confirm any personal or credit-card coverage with your provider. For Turo, review your trip’s protection terms. Coverage is not automatic.
Where can I see the total price, fees, and deposit requirements?
Your booking quote and checkout show the charges and requirements for your dates, vehicle, pickup option, and extras. Review the total before confirming, including any deposit or payment authorization.
Contact us if something is unclear. A different vehicle or booking platform may have different terms.
What is the cancellation policy?
Direct bookings:
- More than 24 hours before the scheduled start: 100% refund.
- Within 24 hours: a 20% cancellation fee.
- No-shows or cancellations after the start: non-refundable unless approved in writing.
Turo bookings: use the cancellation terms and process shown in your Turo reservation.
Can I extend my rental or change the trip times?
Request the change before your scheduled return. For a Turo trip, submit it in the Turo app and wait for approval. For a direct booking, contact Colorado Cruisers so we can check availability and update the reservation.
A text request alone does not extend a Turo trip. Any approved change may affect the price.
Can someone else drive the rental?
Only approved drivers may drive. For Turo, add the person through the trip and wait for Turo approval. The primary guest remains responsible for pickup and return.
For a direct rental, arrange an additional driver with us before they drive so the rental agreement can reflect the approval.
Airport pickup & vehicle access
7 common questions
Where is the car? Do I go to an airport rental counter?
Our standard airport pickup is contactless at Park2Jet, 18121 E 81st Ave, Denver, CO 80022, with a shuttle from Denver International Airport. Vehicles are normally in Uncovered Row I — “I as in Igloo.”
Use the latest row and space in your trip messages. If your reservation specifically includes airport-garage delivery or another approved location, follow those instructions instead.
How do I find the Park2Jet shuttle at Denver airport?
- After baggage claim, go to the West side of the terminal.
- Exit through doors 508 or 510 and go to Island 3.
- Board the Park2Jet shuttle. Stay aboard at the NU Rental Cars stop.
- Tell the driver you are going to Uncovered Row I, or the location in your trip message.
What if I land late at night?
For Park2Jet shuttle service between 11 PM and 5 AM, call 303-558-9790. Use West-side doors 508 or 510 and Island 3.
Send us your arrival update and complete check-in before heading to the car. A late arrival does not automatically change your reservation times.
What should I do if my flight is delayed or the flight details are wrong?
Send us your airline, flight number, arrival date, and updated arrival time. If Turo shows the wrong flight, share the correct details in your trip messages.
If the delay requires a trip-time change, request it through Turo or contact us for a direct-booking change. We will confirm the pickup plan for your reservation.
How do I get the keys or unlock the car?
We send vehicle-specific access instructions privately after the required check-in and verification are complete. Check your reservation and trip messages before heading to the vehicle.
Use only the instructions for your reservation. If they are missing or unclear, contact us for help.
I cannot access the vehicle or find my instructions. What should I do?
Text (719) 224-8876 with your name, vehicle plate, and what is not working. For a Tesla, reopen the app and check that you are signed in to the account that received the invitation.
If your instructions are missing, the car is missing from the app, or you cannot unlock it, contact us so we can resolve access privately.
What do I need to complete before pickup?
Complete the driver’s-license and identity checks requested through your booking’s secure check-in process. For Turo, follow the prompts in your active trip; if the check-in button is missing, reopen the app and contact us if it is still unavailable.
Vehicle access cannot be released until the required verification is complete. Have the primary guest complete their own check-in.
Returns, parking & trip photos
6 common questions
Where do I return the car?
For a standard Park2Jet reservation, return to Park2Jet, 18121 E 81st Ave, normally Uncovered Row I. Follow the latest return location in your trip messages if it is more specific.
Use the Park2Jet shuttle back to the terminal and leave enough time for the shuttle, security, and your flight. Arrange any different return location with us in advance.
What should I do before leaving the vehicle at return?
- Meet the fuel or battery requirement in your reservation.
- Remove your belongings and take the required condition, odometer, and fuel or charge photos.
- Follow your private return instructions for securing the vehicle and returning the key and parking ticket.
- Complete checkout in your booking platform.
Do I pay the Park2Jet parking charge?
Colorado Cruisers covers standard Park2Jet parking. Use the provided parking ticket and tell the gate attendant, “This is for Colorado Cruisers.” Please do not pay that charge yourself.
Your private trip instructions explain where to find the ticket. If it is missing, text us before paying. Other delivery or parking arrangements follow the terms of that reservation.
How much gas should be in the car when I return it?
Return with the fuel level required in your trip instructions, normally the level recorded at pickup, unless a purchased prepaid-fuel option changes that requirement. Use the fuel grade specified for the vehicle and photograph the gauge at checkout.
For an EV, see the battery-return answer below.
Which photos should I take at pickup and return?
Photograph the exterior, interior, odometer, and fuel or battery level. Check the car before driving away and report any concern promptly.
For Turo, follow the app’s prompts to take and upload pre-trip and post-trip photos within 24 hours of the trip’s start and end. Include key-return photos when requested. Turo’s photo guide.
I returned the car, but Turo will not let me end the trip. What now?
Reopen Turo and check the active trip. If checkout still fails, message us with the return time, row and space, and confirmation that the car is locked and the keys and ticket are secured.
Keep your return photos and upload them when possible. We will help review the trip status; physically parking the car does not complete the app checkout.
Vehicles, winter driving & extras
5 common questions
Are your cars all-wheel drive?
Every vehicle in our fleet has all-wheel drive except the Nissan Sentra. Tell us your route, passenger count, and luggage needs so we can help you choose a suitable vehicle.
Explore Denver AWD rentals or read our Colorado winter-driving guide.
Do the vehicles have snow tires?
The vast majority of our vehicles have snow tires. Confirm the tires on your reserved vehicle before your mountain trip.
AWD and snow tires still require careful driving. Check COtrip, follow current traction restrictions, reduce speed, and allow extra stopping distance.
Can I add a ski or snowboard rack?
Most of our SUVs can be equipped with a Yakima PowderHound 6 ski and snowboard rack. Capacity is up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards, depending on gear size.
Request a rack ahead of arrival so we can confirm compatibility, availability, and any add-on cost. Tell us how many skis or boards you are bringing. Plan your ski-trip rental. Yakima PowderHound 6 details.
Can I add a child seat or booster?
Request the seat or booster when booking and confirm availability. If you have reserved one, text us about 24–48 hours before the trip so we can verify it is in the vehicle.
Confirm the seat is suitable for your child and follow its manufacturer’s installation instructions. A seat being placed in the car is not confirmation that it has been fitted for your child.
Which vehicle will fit my passengers and luggage?
Tell us the number of adults and children, bags, skis or boards, and any child seats you need. Check the seating and cargo details of the exact vehicle before booking.
Using every seat in a three-row SUV leaves less space for bags. A roof ski rack carries ski equipment; it does not add space for suitcases.
Teslas, EV charging & FSD
5 common questions
Do your Teslas have Full Self-Driving (FSD)?
Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is available on every Tesla in our fleet. Check the selected vehicle’s booking details for activation, options, and pricing. Explore our Denver Tesla rentals.
The driver must stay attentive and supervise the system. It does not make the vehicle autonomous, and features vary by vehicle and software. Tesla’s FSD (Supervised) guide.
How much battery charge do I need at return?
Use the return-charge requirement in your reservation and any purchased Prepaid EV Recharge extra. The required level can differ by vehicle and booking, so check it before the final day.
Prepaid recharge can let you return at a lower charge, but a minimum still applies. Keep a safe battery buffer and contact us if the instructions are unclear.
What does Prepaid EV Recharge cover?
It changes the return-charging requirement according to the extra you purchased. Read the exact description for your trip, including the minimum battery or range required at drop-off.
Charging during the trip, complimentary charging sessions, and FSD options are separate unless your booking explicitly bundles them. Confirm the included benefits before buying.
Is Tesla Supercharging or Electrify America charging free?
Charging benefits depend on the vehicle and reservation. Do not assume Tesla Supercharging is complimentary.
Some VW ID.4 reservations may include qualifying 30-minute Electrify America sessions through the specified charging benefit. Confirm that your reservation includes it and follow the vehicle’s Plug & Charge instructions. Other charging and applicable station fees follow your booking terms.
Where can I get help with EV charging, adapters, or vehicle controls?
Use the guide provided with your vehicle, or text us with the model and your question. Adapter and key-card availability are vehicle-specific, so check before relying on them.
Plan charging stops before driving, especially for mountain trips, and avoid letting the battery get critically low. The Colorado Cruisers iPhone app also includes guest and vehicle resources.
Mileage, road rules & getting help
8 common questions
How many miles are included?
Direct rentals generally include 200 miles per day; check your reservation’s total and excess-mileage rate. For Turo, use the Total distance included in your active trip. Additional miles may cost extra.
Is Colorado Cruisers a good fit for a long multi-state road trip?
For an extended trip across several states, Colorado Cruisers—including our Turo rentals—may not be the best fit. We are a locally operated Denver-area fleet, and coordinating support or a replacement vehicle gets harder the farther you travel from our base.
A nationwide rental company such as Enterprise or Hertz may be better suited if having rental branches along your route is a priority. Check their locations, roadside-assistance coverage, and replacement-vehicle terms before booking.
If you plan to travel more than 400 miles one way from Denver with Colorado Cruisers, contact us before the trip to review your route and reservation. Discussing the route does not increase your included mileage or change the rental terms.
How do tolls, Express Lanes, and tickets work?
Toll activity is normally reconciled after the trip and billed through the applicable rental or Turo process. Follow posted lane entry, exit, and occupancy rules; paying a toll does not excuse a lane violation.
Parking, traffic, and speed-camera citations are handled under the reservation’s terms and applicable process. Contact us if you have a question about a charge.
Can I smoke in the car, and how clean should it be at return?
Our vehicles are non-smoking. Remove your belongings and trash before return and let us know about any spill, damage, or unusual cleaning issue.
Any smoking or cleaning charge follows the applicable rental terms and, for Turo trips, Turo’s current policies.
Can I bring a pet?
Please contact us before booking with a pet so we can confirm the policy for the vehicle you want. Include your travel dates and preferred vehicle when you ask.
What should I do if I break down, get a flat, or lock myself out?
Direct rental: call our listed roadside provider at (855) 866-3161; have the VIN ready. Turo rental: request roadside assistance through Turo.
Also text us your name, vehicle plate, location, and the problem. If the vehicle feels unsafe, stop in a safe place.
What if there is an accident or a serious warning light?
For injuries or immediate danger, call 911. If there is a serious brake, steering, overheating, tire, or other safety issue, get to a safe location if possible and stop driving.
Contact us and use the roadside or incident-reporting process for your booking. Take photos only when safe. For a Turo rental, report the incident through Turo as well.
How do I reach you or leave a review?
Call or text Colorado Cruisers at (719) 224-8876. For help during a trip, include your name and vehicle plate; for Turo reservations, you can also message us in the trip.
After your rental, you can share feedback through our Google review link or your completed Turo trip.
